While there's certainly no shortage of noir tales set in
England, I will say that Russell Hill's outstanding ROBBIE'S
WIFE (Hard Case Crime, 2007) was one of the best novels I've
read yet to depict the pastural English countryside. One
could feel the morning mist and smell the sheep poop...
