Of course, Chandler also described the plot of Strangers on a
Train as
"silly."
Selected Letters also prints one from Chandler to Cain about
this adaptation. The letter probably seemed nice enough to
Cain, but it seems kind of condescending when read in light
of other letters denoucing Cain.
