REally? Good news. I don't know Serpent's Tail publishing
company, will
they be listed through an ordering system like Barnes &
Noble's, for
example? (SEE BELOW.)
On a related note, I've heard that Goodis' _The Blonde on the
Street
Corner_ was going to be released since last summer, first
with a due date
of August 1997, then delayed a month, delayed a month,
delayed a month,
etc, until it STILL isn't out. Does anybody know when it
will
see print again?
Thanks,

BELOW: This is a mini-rant, I suppose, but do many of you
have problems
with chain book dealers telling you a book isn't in print,
when it really
is? I've given ISBN numbers of books that have _just been
published_ to
clerks at places like Walden's and Books a Million, only to
have them
insist that there's no such book, nor was there, nor will
there ever be.
The problem, I assume, is that they're using their own
abridged Books In
Print, or working from an inventory of what their particular
chain has
available and/or can order. Sure is frustrating, tho. I see
why
amazon.com is thriving.
