I have enjoyed the noir/hard-boiled discussions and would like to post
information from a really good article that discussions noir fiction
(as soon as I find the article!). The author discusses the difference
between film noir and noir fiction. He says that film becomes noir due
to stylistic techniques and literature becomes noir due to content.
     I will post more later (including the citation), but I couldn't
resist adding this to the discussion.
