Today I noticed a lyrical connection between Leonard Cohen and Hawkwind.

From Cohen’s “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” (1967):

But let’s not talk of love or chains and things we can’t untie

Your eyes are soft with sorrow

From Hawkwind’s “Urban Guerrilla” (1973), written by Robert Calvert:
