    Ah, Dog Soldiers. Another great literary noir. Given what you and Chris have said about Angels not holding up, I might have to reread it. And given that I just wrote about Jack O'Connell's Quinsigamond books in another thread, I cant' believe I didn't mention them here. And then there is Total Chaos by Jean-Claude Izzo, which reminds me that I've got to read the other two in the Marseilles trilogy. Wait, do remember correctly that I didn't see any Jim Thompson or David Goodis on your list? Pop. 1280 and Street of No Return would correct that. Mark
