John O'Hara pops up here every now and then. I have both
APPOINTMENT IN SOMORRA and BUTTERFIELD 8, but I havent' as
yet read them. Are there any other books by O'Hara that would
merit reading? I think I have one or two of his short story
collections
(HELLBOX comes to mind) and I just bought a newer novel of
his
(can't remember the title, though; it was very cheap). I also
have an omnibus of PAL JOEY, HOPE OF HEAVEN and SERMONS AND
SODA WATER.
