Could

Perhaps, though I usually associate redneck-noir w/ a true
backwoods or very rural setting, and a cast of characters who
on the face appear unsophisticated and uneducated, shunning
the modern world for a host of reasons. Lansdale's FREEZER
BURN had some of those elements, I suppose, but probably not
enough -- in my mind -- to label it redneck noir.
I *would*, however, call it possibly the best book by
Lansdale I've ever read -- in fact, it's one of my all-time
favorites, period.
