Thanks for the comments on Japanese hardboiled, Jiro. The
daughter and I went to Borders bookstore today and I got to
check out a few by Ryu Murakami and another Murakami. The one
that I read a few pages of was ALMOST TRANSPARENT BLUE. Looks
like a good junkie book for you to try, Mark! Hardcore.
Short, too. A blurb said something about it being practically
plotless, but I don't think that's unusual for a junkie book.
I thought one titled DANCE DANCE DANCE by the other Murakami
looked hardboiled and interesting.
