The other day I dipped into the hugeTBR bookshelf
(pile won't do) and picked up Harold Adams's _The Ditched
Blonde_, a tightly packed PI novel in his Carl Wilcox series.
A great title and an enjoyable couple of hours of
old-fashioned pulp reading.
************ I'm not familiar with Adams. Thanks for the
recommendation, uh, Jacques. I've got CARLUCCI'S EDGE going
at work and Gore's COME MORNING. The sci-fi is good but Gore,
like always, is simply superb.
Got some old movies to watch from Netflix, all of them fair
game for rara-avis. I'm watching Manchurian Candidate now,
with Murder, My Sweet and This Gun for Hire in the
queue.
