A couple of recent UK books written by some relative
newcomers:
The Twelve-Step Fandango by Chris Haslam
I Love My Smith and Wesson by David Bowker Review: http://tinyurl.com/4by62
and one that is very hard to read, very different,
very gruesome
<shudder>:
Senseless by Stona Fitch Review: http://reviewingtheevidence.com/review.html?id=2130
Maddy
-----I'm wondering if anyone can suggest some good heavy noir
books, collections, or stories. I've read a bunch of Vachss
and Ian Rankin and am looking for something a bit darker.
I've heard good things about Block's Matt Scudder series, but
I checked out his collection
"Hitman" and found it a bit too...upbeat.
I thinking of stuff along the lines of Jack O'Connell's "Word
Made Flesh."
Thanks,
-Neddal
