"House on Q Street," "Angel Eyes," "Murder on the Rocks" and others feature D.C. accountant Steve Bentley. Well-plotted, witty dialogue. It's been a while since I've read them, but remember enjoying them very much. That was before I knew that Dietrich was Hunt. Don't know if that knowledge would make any difference either way. As I recall, the books were sort of a mix of Chandler wiseguy dialogue with Ross Thomas' knowledge of how things work.

*********** Thanks, Dick. Jennifer Lopez was in a movie called Angel Eyes here recently. I wonder if it's an adaptation of the book. By the way, this weekend I was browsing the used book store and found your name on a book called SLEEPING DOG. It looks interesting. I'm working my way forward thru the TBR pile according to publish dates, and I'm in the 40's now. Gonna be a while, but I'm looking forward to reading it.
