As has already been pointed out, it is four hours and does
involve a fair number of hills. My wife and I took the tour
this summer. When we took it, Don gave us a choice of
climbing some hills to see two more houses or to take a
detour where he retells the "Whosis Kid". Apparently, he
doesn't do the "Whosis Kid" bit often. If you get a chance,
ask for it.
Also as already pointed out, the tour ends at John's Bar
& Grill. Don will sit and talk Hammett and Willeford for
a long while if you are interested. And yes, he'll point out
a few Willeford sites along the way.
Very much worth the walk. And the slight sunburn that I got
doing it.
