Last weekend I bought from the flea market a videotape
containing three Dick Tracy cartoons from the late fifties or
early sixties. I thought that maybe they were older - I've
never seen them, although I've vaguely known that such things
exist. Cartoons were a harsh disappointment. Poorly drawn and
without any good jokes these were a far cry from the original
comic strip. And the dubbing was done like my
great-great-great-grandmother was mimicking the characters
from her tomb.
Luckily the tape contained also two Superman cartoons by Dave
Fleischer from early fourties. These were very good, full of
action and imaginative "photography".
Any other hardboiled cartoons come to mind?
