Well, Anthony, the problem is that, once in a blue moon,
Harriet decides to review a book that offends her. Like "The
Trials of Nikki Hill," which I co-wrote with Chris Darden.
Now, heck, she's got every right to express her opinion,
educated or uneducated though it may be. However, she
evidently sends her reviews to a vast assortment of websites.
She sent it twice to Barnes & Noble (or perhaps someone
asleep at the switch there ran it twice) which means it took
a whole bunch of five stars from other amateur reviewers to
offset the double rap. Since Harriet is well-known as an easy
mark when it comes to mysteries, some readers have probably
assumed that our effort is excruciatingly awful. I hope it's
not.. We've got a sequel and a paperback edition waiting in
the wings. Dick (I've been hammered by Harriet) Lochte

Comes under that old saying ... if you don't have anything
good to say don't say anything. Since she's not being paid to
review anything and it's just a hobby of hers there is no
obligation for her to post negative reviews.
