I had never thought about the Cuddy books not being hard
boiled, but when the question was asked decided they weren't
very. I happened to have Jeremiah Healy's email addy so I
asked him. His assessment of the Cuddy books is that they
are, " hardboiled in plot, mediumboiled in character." I
think that's accurate. He agrees with Mario's rough test of
his series. Mark.
