There's something about him in "Twentieth Century Crime and
Mystery Writers" (at least in some edition, I believe I've
been using the third), but I just now can't remember what
exactly.
I have one book by him, "Contraband", the Signet Book edition
from 1951. I haven't read it yet, though. I believe Cleve
Adams has been said to have been a friend of Chandler. Did he
talk that Gestapo jazz with our nice Ray? (Well, we mustn't
confuse the writings and the man!)
