I heard the Atlantic, the middle-brow American monthly, is
running a piece on Charles Willeford in its May issue (which
has two children on the cover). It hasn't hit the stands up
here, but I'm told, "There's a substantial glimpse of Charles
at his most essential, when he was enjoying himself and not
when he was answering interviewer questions -- although he
could be mighty pithy in the interviewee role too."
