My copy of Brackett's _No Good From a Corpse_ is a cheapo
(£3.95)
reprint from the Blue Murder series by Simon & Schuster.
This series of
classics is published in England and edited by Jakubowski. I
don't know
if this series is still available; over the years, I have
bought quite a
few titles, including reprints of Charles Williams, Gil Brewer,
Dolores
Hitchens, David Goodis, Geoffrey Homes, Davis Grubb and other
well known
writers of hardboiled, noir, and suspense novels.
