Amen to that! Richard Wormser rocks!

Richard Wormser wrote for several fiction genres (Western,
children's, sociological/romance, TV dramatizations) and his mysteries are
outstanding, THE LATE MRS FIVE included. They run the gamut from tense to
comic. THE WIDOW WORE RED, aka, THE HANGING HEIRESS was a hoot. THE BODY
LOOKED FAMILIAR was a fast paced story of two high ranking police officials
who are trying to do each other in. I loved THE INVADER. It reminded me a
lot of John Holbrook Vance's Pleasant Valley Murders. The most engaging for
me was THE TAKEOVER. It was a witty, Machavellian story of city politics
with a garnish of murder conspiricy.
