Has anyone mentioned Lawrence Block's Bernie Rhodenbarr series?
Bernie
is quite a nice guy who owns a bookstore by day, but he is a
thoroughly
professional thief. It's a very entertaining series - not
hardboiled but
suspenseful and quite comical. Block has produced some of his
best
dialogue in this series.
