It's not the best-designed site, nor is it as informative as
it could
be, but any reader of Ellroy's book will want to have a look.
It's
done by a writer, Pamela Hazelton, who's having some kind of
on-line
chat thing on 27 July.
On another note,
<URL:http://us.imdb.com/Title?Poodle+Springs+(1998)+(TV)>
shows a TV adaptation of Parker's book is in the works. It'll
star
James Caan and be directed by Bob Rafelson, who directed the
remake of
_The Postman Always Rings Twice_, which I haven't seen,
although I've
heard it's pretty bad. No clue on who's doing the TV movie,
or when
it'll be on.
I read _Poodle Springs_ when it came out, but I've
completely
forgotten it. All I remember is thinking Parker was no
Chandler, but
I'd already known that.
