: As I was checking my mail, I notice that someone posted
what seems
: to be a story to this list. What is the official policy on
this?
There is none. I wasn't quite sure what that was, although it
was
clear it was badly formatted, hard to read and the poster
hadn't
started a new thread.
: Personally, I would prefer that the list be kept as a
discussion
: forum and that authors looking for feedback on their own
efforts
: direct their work elsewhere (for example, on their own
web
: sites). There is something aggressive in forcing one's own
stories
: on a list.
I don't really want to see people posting fiction here
either.
Everyone who wants to should take a stab at writing, and many
of the
subscribers probably have, but over the list's 18-month
history we've
always acted as readers of published writers. I don't see any
reason
to change, and I suspect most subscribers feel the same way.
However,
if anyone feels strongly the other way, let me know.
