My reading copy of Green Ice is from No Exit Press, and is in
print
(together with Whitfield's two other novels, Death in a Bowl
and The
Virgin Kills -figure out that title without reading the book!).
I also
have a pristine first edition of the book, given to me by my
late father
in law years ago. But that one I try not to touch, though I did
read it
once. It seems to me that Whitfield was a major talent, as good
in his
way as Norbert Davis, Paul Cain, or Hammett.
