Bukowski didn't like Ben Gazzara in Tales of Ordinary Madness.
I don't know what he thought about Mickey Rourke in Barfly (I
thought Rourke and Faye Dunaway were great). I don't know who
I'd have play me, now that Warren Oates is dead. Nick Nolte was
pretty good in New York Stories.
