    I second that opinion. Any Wade Miller is pretty much certain to entertain, but I find their Gold Medals particularly enjoyable.

    Um, "piles of Gold Medals lying around"?  I trust you know how good you have it. Please let us know what titles you find "just lying around".

      I picked this out from my library, mint Gold Medal that I somehow had not read. This is a fantastic hardboiled read with strong noir elements. If you run into it, grab it. This predates Donald Hamilton territory, by the way. I am going to continue delving into the piles of Gold Medals lying around. I hope to find more unread ones...
