Strangest thing I witnessed at Bouchercon: A guy getting his Sony Reader "signed" by an author. He clicked to the book, then clicked to the title page on the screen... then had the author "sign" it using a stylus. Then complained when the author had rested his hand on the screen, creating a splotch... he was asked to sign again. Jeez.
