Rara-Avians traveling to Paris this winter can visit an exhibit on Dashiell
Hammett at the Bibliothèque des Littératures Policières (called BiLiPo for
short), which is the world's only library dedicated to crime fiction. (Even
without the Hammett exhibit, BiLiPo is worth a visit in its own right.)
The Hammett exhibit is entitled "Le mystère Hammett, la naissance du roman
noir américain" and it opens on November 5th. The exhibit is curated by
Natalie Beunat, author of the book "Dashiell Hammett: Parcours d'une
oeuvre," and the translator of Hammett's letters and much of his fiction
into French.
Admission is free.
