Criss-crossing genres. Dennis Lehane's short story "Until Gwen" was
adapted into a stage play entitled "Coronado". Now the French
illustrator Jacques de Loustal has adapted the play into a short
graphic novel, or should I say graphic short story, also entitled
"Coronado". It just came out last week, as part of the "Noir"
collection put out by Rivages/Casterman publishers. Good artwork,
elliptical dialogue. Here's a link for a Youtube clip about Loustal
discussing (in English) his work. Of some interest for the graphically
enclined among us, perhaps.
