On Crime Writing is made up of two essays, "The Writer as Detective Hero" and "Writing the Galton Case." Both of those essays plus 19 more short pieces (and an intro by Eudora Welty) are collected in Macdonald's Self-Portrait: Ceaselessly in the Past, also from Capra. Don't know how easy either of these is to find these days.
