Good catch! Dennis also wrote a series about a PI named Kane Jackson who also specialized in industrial, big business cases. He wrote these as "William Arden."
And doesn't Don Winslow's CALIFORNIA FIRE & LIFE, featuring an insurance investigator who specializes in arson, hinge on some sort of high finance scam?
