Well from what I've gathered as a result of an extended back-and-forth
discussion of this when he abruptly dropped out of the Bouchercon Noir Panel
at the last minute, he made it quite clear that as far as he was concerned,
his stuff trascended labels, and certainly wasn't really "genre fiction."
As for whether he actually has, I suppose it is all in where Barnes and
Noble shelves him.;)
