I saw the remake. It's second grade compare to the original film, and forgettable. The original is a real achievement, I agree.
There's magic in that old film (and great filming and acting powers), one of the fexw I could watch more than twice... and still be captivted.

I've never seen it, or a copy of it. But I thought there was a Hammer
reissue on DVD going on. It may appear on DVD eventually. I am not
sure I want to see a remake of _that_ movie, though. The original is
perfect.
