I just finished reading David Goodis' Down There. I had
initially started reading it months ago, but something (I
can't remember what) depressed me so I switched to reading
comedic mysteries for a while. I started over and read it
quite fast. This is the type of noir I enjoy. Interestingly
the book I read the day before was Graham Greene's Gun for
Sale, which in many ways I found to be similar to Down
There.
