I just finished Hunt's latest, GOODBYE SISTER DISCO, which I
enjoyed quite a bit. I think Hunt's a writer who would be of
interest to others on this list, and if you haven't read him
before, this might be a good place to start. It's a
procedural, set in St. Louis, and it deals with a kidnapping.
Nothing new there, but still a good story, told well.
And there's this. Let's call it the rara-avis special. There
are a couple of characters named Terrill and Lee. This
sentence appears on page 8:
"Prior to meeting Terrill, Lee had never committed a felony
in her life." Coincidence? I report, you decide. There's also
a (very) minor character named Crider who shows up for a
mention near the end of the book. That one has to be an
accident.
