Not really. But both do feature some great looking babes. The
2004 version with Owen Wilson also features Willie Nelson and
Harry Dean Stanton, and any movie with those two is worth
sitting through.
One interesting point about the novel is that the main
character is Jack Ryan, later to be featured in Leonard's
novel SWAG, aka RYAN'S RULES.
BOUNCE was also an example of a practice Leonard did more
than once-- write the novel, sell it to the movies prior to
publication and then the first edition appears with "Soon to
be a major motion picture" bannered on the cover.
