I've been waiting for that show, created by John Sayles, to
make it to DVD, too. I particularly liked Richard Edson as
Wilmer Slade, the loan shark's collector (sent to collect
installments from Shannon) who really wants to be a private
eye from the pulps. While waiting for his boss's money (and
learning a word a day from his calendar), he ends up doing
Shannon's investigative work. Elizabeth Pena was also very
good as the secretary he didn't really want, but she insisted
she had to pay him for winning her case.
