I just got through this often-overlooked classic by Vera
Caspary. I'm trying to read more women authors and I thought
I'd read this. I must say that it really is a classic on par
with Laura. When I first started it I thought it was going to
be a snooze because it's set in 1913 amd there is very little
action in it, but it gets interesting soon enough as the
husband of the title character begins to suspect that his new
bride might be a serial killer.
I recommend it.
