Blood Meridian was the first thing I tried to read by
McCarthy, several years ago, based on miker's raves (all of
the others of which have worked very well for me, especially
Nightmare Alley and Thieves Like Us). Tried it twice. Could
not get into it.
Read The Road later, after it got raves here (I kinda like
post-apocalyptic novels). That one worked for me. Yes, very
different styles.
