Really? I can think of a bunch of series that deal with
sports. There are a bunch of ex-athlete investigators, from
William Campbell Gault, Steve Hamilton, Robert Irvine, to
name a few, even Paul Auster, under the name Paul Benjamin.
And some of their cases involve their former sports. Mike
Lupica wrote several medium to soft boiled books about a
crime investigating TV sports reporter.
