Or John Huston. In the last couple of days I've seen the
other two versions of The Maltese Falcon. Each had an odd
take or two on elements of the book but they're slim and
unnecessary campared to the Huston version. What a grand job
he did and how easily a book can be ruined by having the
wrong people do it.
