Signet was a reprint house anyway in 1947, not a publisher of
originals. If memory serves, 1951's JEALOUS WOMAN was one of
the first originals by a major PB house (Avon, in this
instance), a thing deemed very risky & perhaps too
"lowbrow" at the time to be a reputable medium.
