Just ran across a reference to another Mike Hammer satire. Seems Walt Kelly did one as an Uncle Pogo So-So Stories: "The Bloody Drip of Muckey Spleen," featuring "Meat Hamburg, Private Eye, Ear, Nose, Throat, and Leg Man, in another Big Game of Corpse and Robbers."
