********************************************** The last
speech is Spade twisting the knife. He's letting her know he
understands exactly how she thinks and what she expects him
to do because every other man has always allowed her to
manipulate them. And then he slips it in that he's not going
to do it. He won't play the sap for her. He has the winning
hand and he's flaunting it. He's telling her she's lost and
he's telling her in her language, not his.
