********** Great post, Mark. I really liked Pulp Fiction. Not
only was it fun and surprising and stylish, but it also
carried a significant subtext to it, whether Quentin wants to
admit it or not. And the story line is classic hardboiled, a
man trying to do right in an evil world.
As far as questioning his originality, that's a mediocre
criticism at best. Great authors build on what came before
them. I can't imagine it being any different in the movie
biz.
