I am currently reading David Markson's 'Epitaph for a tramp' and 'Epitaph for a dead beat', recently reissued in a single volume by Avalon in their Shoemaker Hoard imprint. The cover and back picture are presumably artwork from the time they were written - by Robert McGinnis. Can anyone tell me if they are the artwork from the original editions of the books?
