Thank you Michael.
I find the setting almost as important as the characters,
which is why the exotic locations of Bangkok (where I lived
for two years) and Bombay fascinate me. Boston is nice, hence
Parker and LeHane, and Hogan. I have dipped into Michael
Connely and shall again but LA is not one of my favourite
places. Now Saint John's - there is a place where one might
indeed find strange things afoot! Anyone dying strangely in
Hong Kong?
Somewhere out there, someone is writing a mystery for Riga,
or Talin, or Taiwan. Why not Athens? There were a few from
Salt Lake City - a city that is strange indeed (titles and
writers forgotten, but I did live there for several
years).
Minette Walters does England for me, with a few additions
from P.D. JAmes and the historical stuff.
But I shall indeed dip back into Connelly if I can just get
over where he carries on trade...
Regards, Willow
