*********** I'm slowly working my way through one called
Center Ring by Gary Jennings. I'm afraid I can't recommend
it. It has none of the magic and power of Aztec, The Journey,
or Raptor. Those three books are superb entertainment.
Jennings is a great storyteller. The Journey is a fictional
version of Marco Polo's epic trip to the East, Raptor is
about a Roman leader towards the fall of the eastern empire,
and Aztec is, well, about the Aztecs.
