There's good news from Tinseltown tonight:
Today's 'Variety' ran a very exciting story called 'Screen
time for Hard Case'. It details a new partnership between
Charles Ardrai and James Polster with the production company
Papizan-Hirsch Entertainment to develop feature projects
based on the Hard Case crime novels.
The first film which they hope to start shooting later this
year will be 'Little Girl Lost' by Mr. Ardrai himself.
Papizan-Hirsch is very much a quality production house. They
are co- producers of HBO's meticulously produced 'Rome' among
other projects.
This is a huge deal and one that will, I hope, be
artistically and financially successful for all parties
concerned.
This could be the greatest boost for our genre since . . .
well, since Hard Case Crime itself started three years
ago.
