I recently finished Walter Mosley's CINNAMON KISS and loved
it. I took a break from the Easy Rawlins stories a while
back, but THE MAN IN MY BASEMENT reminded me of Mosley in
general, and I did some quick catching up on Easy. I don't
know why I soured on the stories for a while. They are all
terrific.
I've got James Lee Burke's CRUSADER'S CROSS and Duane
Swierczynski's WHEEL MAN on deck.
The Robicheaux books are a bit odd for me. Usually I need to
chain-read a series or not bother reading them at all. For
some reason, I can take or leave the Robicheaux books. When
I'm in the middle of one, I like it a lot. But I don't have
the compulsion to read them all in order and as quickly as I
can, like I do for many other series.
